Sketch a design on paper. Ideas can come from anything that interests me or brings me delight - anything I want to share. |

Transfer the pencil design onto the rubber block. (For wood, I draw the design directly on the block.) |

Carve out every part of the design that is to remain white (or paper-colored.) Leave behind every part that is to be black (or ink-colored.) |

Roll the block with ink. Ink covers the un-carved parts of the block, but does not go down into the carved areas. |

Lay paper onto the inked block and press. I press by hand with the back of a large wooden spoon. |

Pull up the print and admire! Then repeat steps 4 and 5 many times. |

Select the prints for the edition, and destroy all others. Label the edition. Each print is numbered and signed. |

Show my work! Talk with people, and share stories about the things we love. |
